It is the mission of Leadership Ashland to graduate citizens with knowledge and attitudes of leadership to meet the ever-challenges of the Ashland County community.
The program’s ultimate goal is to build leadership resources within the county and consequently encourage participants to become involved in community organizations of interest to them with a new and broader understanding of how various community systems can and should work.
  
Leadership Ashland is designed to:
(a) Identify existing and emerging community leaders
(b) Acquaint participants with community needs and issues
(c) Broaden participants’ understanding of the processes by which decisions are made in Ashland County
(d) Prepare participants to make a positive impact on community organizations’ decision-making

The Leadership Ashland experience offers the participant an opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to assume a vital role in our community. Participants widen their circle of friendships and become acquainted with numerous community leaders. Sponsoring organizations are rewarded with an involved and motivated employee. Leadership Ashland seeks candidates who have a sincere desire to learn more about the community and to enhance their abilities to achieve leadership in their respective areas of influence within the community.

A selection committee will review and interview all applicants and select participants who have demonstrated current leadership ability, exceptional motivation and commitment and a willingness to serve the community.
