Welcome to the Ashland Area Safety Council
The Safety Council program is co-sponsored by the Chamber and the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation Division of Safety and Hygiene. The Ashland Area Safety Council is one of over 80 Safety Councils in the state. This unique program offers members many benefits ranging from monthly safety meetings centered around workplace safety management, as well as networking with peers and staying informed about the programming and discounts offered by the State of Ohio.

GENERAL INDUSTRY OSHA 10 & 30 HOUR COURSES
MAY 20, 26-27, JUNE 2-3, 2010

OSHA On-Site Consultation, will be holding a FREE General Industry OSHA 10 hour and possibly an OSHA 30 hour training course at the Erie County Office Building in Sandusky, OH. Please be advised that these are not construction industry courses. Dates for the OSHA 10 hour course are May 20 and 26th from 8:15am - 4:30pm. Provided we have enough response for the OSHA 30 hour course, OSHA 30 hour students will be required to attend the May 20th and 26th sessions as well as all sessions held on May 27, June 2 and June 3, 2010 from 8:15am - 4:30pm. Reservations are required by March 31, 2010 and up to two employees per employer may attend. If seats are available after the deadline, we may allow additional employees from one employer to attend. If there is an overwhelming response, we may be able to hold another set of courses in the summer. Each student will receive an official OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification card. In addition, credit may be available to meet various BWC program requirements. Please contact your local BWC service office's employer service specialists for further information. Also, the OSHA 10 hour course can be taught at your facility on other dates if you have 10 or more employees in the course. Other requirements apply. Contact Dave Roll at 419.295.0040 if you are interested in training at your facility.
